A Safe Space for Honest Emotions and Faithful Reflection.
Held: Teen Edition
Grief changes everything — especially in the life of a teenager.
The Held Teen Edition is designed to give young people a place to process loss, ask hard questions, and explore their emotions through guided faith-based reflection.
This program creates structure and safety for what’s often hard to say out loud. Teens learn that their feelings are valid, that faith and grief can coexist, and that they don’t have to carry their pain alone.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

What Teens Gain
Through Held Teen Edition, participants will:
- Discover healthy ways to express grief, fear, or guilt.
- Build emotional vocabulary to better communicate their needs.
- Learn how faith can anchor them when life feels unstable.
- Develop empathy by connecting with others who understand.
- Leave each session with tools to continue their healing journey.
Every teen who completes the program leaves with more than words — they leave with hope, faith, and a deeper understanding of themselves and God’s presence in their story.
The Workbook: A Place to Be Honest
The Held Teen Edition Workbook is a tangible tool for emotional and spiritual growth — a space where teens can write, draw, and express what words alone can’t capture.
- Each section encourages open reflection through:
- Guided journaling prompts that connect emotions with Scripture.
- Real-life reflection questions that spark honest self-awareness.
- Practical exercises that help teens identify and express feelings like anger, confusion, or sadness.
- Creative outlets — like sketching, memory pages, and prayer-writing — that give grief expression in healthy ways.
This isn’t a lecture or counseling session — it’s an experience of personal discovery, designed to help teens meet God in the middle of what hurts most.

Grief looks different at every age — but when teens have space to express, healing begins to take shape.
Held Teen Edition helps them find that space — guided by faith, supported by community, and strengthened by the promise that they are never alone.
“Even when my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” — Psalm 61:2

The Guided Group Workbook
The Held Teen Edition Workbook is more than a book — it’s a personal space for reflection, honesty, and growth. Each participant in a guided group receives their own copy, designed to help them process their emotions, explore their faith, and participate fully in each session.
During group meetings, the workbook serves as a conversation guide, a personal journal, and a faith companion. It gives teens something tangible to hold onto as they move through their grief journey and helps turn what they’re feeling into words, prayers, and action.
Inside the Workbook, Teens Will Find:
Self-reflection prompts that invite honest exploration of feelings, doubts, and faith.
Writing and drawing pages that encourage expression through journaling, poetry, or art.
Group discussion starters that make sharing in a small group setting feel safe and natural.
Scripture-based reflections that connect God’s Word to real-life emotions and experiences.
Simple “faith in action” activities that help teens apply what they’re learning beyond the group.
Facilitators use the workbook to guide each session, helping teens feel supported and understood while showing that every emotion — even confusion, anger, or sadness — has a place in faith and healing.
“Faith doesn’t ask you to hide your emotions. It gives you a safe place to bring them.”
